Goodbye D70s! Volume I Sports Edition (Part II: Football)

Football was one of the more fun sports to shoot due to the adrenalin from chasing the players up and down the field and the pressure to get a good shot. With other sports there is a very good chance that an instance will occur again within the same game or event so the pressure is not as prevalent. However, with football, there is a certain amount of luck that is involved with a good shot due to where you place yourself on the field and which group of players you are focusing on. This is in addition to the whole timing and technical aspect of everything and the threat of getting smashed by the players and ruining all your gear. Plus it's cold out there, very cold. There's more of these, I just can't find all of them.

Goodbye D70s! Volume I Sports Edition (Part I: : Swimming, Gymnastics, Baseball)

My old Nikon D70s had to be retired because it had trouble reading my memory cards since the door to the card was getting loose. On top of that the sensor had a bunch of dust on it while the focus button was getting stuck too often. I recently got a Nikon D7000 to replace it. The next few posts will be my favorite photos taken with my D70s.

Youth Rescue Mission + Heatwarmer (03.05.2011)

My buddy Nick Wilson-Codega(not pictured, sorry man, you were real far from the front of the stage) plays drums for the band Youth Rescue Mission. Top-of-the-line vocal harmonies and songwriting. Plus, Heatwarmer blew my mind too. Overall good show, didn't really enjoy the headlining band though.

Back into the swing of things.

These are engagement photos for my pals Luke and Erika. Went all over Seattle for these shots. Although I normally don't do engagement photos or anything that has to do with weddings, these were really fun to do, mainly because the subjects made it easy.
